NEWTOWN, Conn. — Eight years after its creation, the Catherine Violet Hubbard Foundation in Newtown continues to expand. It’s named in honor of Catherine Violet Hubbard, one of the first graders who dies in the Sandy Hook tragedy. Now, one of its specialty programs – the Senior Paw Project – is reaching four more towns.

Guam has a surplus of dogs and cats that need furever homes and various organizations have stepped up to help fill that need. One of those organizations is Guåhan Paws for Pets, which provides the PDN with photos of their Pets of the Week. The group works to “rescue, rehabilitate and restore animals in need.”
