A type of collar designed to hurt dogs as behavioural “punishment” is set to be banned in Queensland. The state government will introduce legislation into parliament to end the use of pronged dog collars, Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk announced on Sunday. The premier said the measure will be included in legislation to strengthen animal welfare laws.
